Preparing for your Boudoir session & Boudoir FAQ

Preparing for your boudoir session...

I’ll guide you through the entire process.

Yay! Thank you for trusting me with this vulnerable session. I can't wait for you to see yourself through my lens and fall back in / more in love with yourself! If we are getting vulnerable already, I'll share that I did a boudoir session right after having my second baby and it is the catalyst that kickstarted my journey back to loving myself after having kids. Whether you're trying to build your confidence back up or celebrate the confidence you already have, it's going to be a beautiful experience.

ONE WEEK PRIOR

The week leading up to your shoot, I recommend spending five minutes a day complimenting yourself. Take time to just sit in front of a mirror and tell yourself the things you love. It can be uncomfortable and hard at first, that's okay! Start small if you need to, and build up to physical attributes if it's difficult at first.

FIVE DAYS PRIOR

Now that you've practiced loving yourself for a few days (keep doing that btw!!), look up some poses on pinterest and start practicing in front of the mirror (or not if that's too uncomfy). Embrace your beautiful self and start leaning into your sexiness!

THREE DAYS PRIOR

WATER, WATER, WATER, & MORE WATER.

Really focus on drinking water and giving your body the nourishment it needs. You'd be surprised how much of a workout a boudoir session can be!

TWO DAYS PRIOR

Eat solid meals. Please do not skip leading up to your session. Your body needs food to function, and a functioning body is a beautiful body. The more you take care of yourself, the more you will love yourself as well. And like I said, it's more work than it looks like to pose for almost an hour!

24 HOURS PRIOR

THIS ONE IS IMPORTANT! Try to wear loose clothing the day before your shoot and try to avoid a bra, panties, socks, or any tight fitting clothes that could leave lines on your body and show up during your shoot. Please make sure your nails are also either newly done or clean of polish. If you are getting hair and makeup done, please show up with clean, dry hair.

ANYTIME

At absolutely ANY point leading up to your session, ask any question that comes to mind!! I am here to support and hype you up not just during your session, but leading up to it as well. I'm so excited for you and proud of you. Let's party.

FAQ

Can I bring my partner to my session?

Yes! If you would like to bring a support person, please do. Your partner can also be in the photos! I just need to know in advance so they can sign a contract.

How many outfits should I bring?

As many as you would like! There is usually time for about three, but we can work with whatever you have.

Are you comfortable with nudity?

Let's talk about it together! Ultimately my answer is yes, but I like to discuss this with you prior to make sure we are on the same page and everyone feels comfortable with what's going on.

Do I need to do my hair and makeup?

Absolutely not. I do recommend having your nails with no polish or recently done unless you want to pay me a bunch of extra money to edit them.. but other than that just show up as you feel most confident and comfortable.
